If you haven’t already, you may want to verify the register is sorted appropriately: open the register and select the Date column header

I don't know where to go to check that. the date on my computer is today's date. Quicken puts in today's date when I enter a new transaction. The date and time on my calendar are correct.0

But that doesn't appear to be your issue. I'm out of ideas.0 -
The date does appear in the taskbar and even when I hover the mouse over it.
Ok, Thanks for your help maybe someone else will have an idea.0 -
Show us a picture. Make your register window as short as possible height-wise, and ensure transactions around today's date are visible. Capture a screen shot. Obscure any sensitive information. Show us the top header line (Date, Check #, Payee, etc.) and the bottom of the transaction list. Drag the screen shot into the message composition area in your next response.

I see a line. The image is blurry but it looks like it's in the right place.
