How do I change out of compact view

Are you referring to single line view in a register?  If so, you can toggle that to two line view while in the register by hitting CTRL + 2.

If that's not what you are referring to then can you provide more information?

There are 2 places where QWin uses the term "Compact".

• Account Bar: right-click to change it
• Banking registers: Edit > References > Register > Row spacing

Make that three:
Edit -> Preferences -> Reports only -> Row Height

Sorry, I asked the wrong question. I want to get out of 4-pane view.

What is a "4-pane view"? I don't get it in my Q Windows on a relatively low-res laptop screen.

Can you please capture one or more images of the parts of your Quicken window showing the issue, sensitive information blacked out as necessary to protect your privacy but annotated to describe the situation, and attach the image(s) here?
