New Fifth Third "multi function" MasterCard not supported by Quicken ?

I just received a new Master Card from Fifth Third Bank. Several attempts to set it up to download transactions over the past two months did not find the account. After contacting Quicken, they sent me to the bank. The bank sent me back to Quicken. Finally, got Fifth Third to research the problems and now I'm being told it's a new "multi function" card and it is not supported by Quicken and probably never will be. What's the purpose of an application that's suppose to make managing financial transactions easier if it doesn't support the financial products being used?

Complain to Fifth Third. It is the financial institution that decides how much or little they want to support the use of Quicken by their customers.PNC is an example of that. Their virtual wallet accounts can not be set up for download into Quicken but their regular non virtual wallet accounts can. PNC made that decision, not Quicken.

I have and they say it's Quicken. It's a vicious circle, each pointing the finger at the other. Neither making an effort to fix the problem.0

GAH said:I just received a new Master Card from Fifth Third Bank.Do you see the CC when you log into the 53 online website - or do you log into a different URL website ?There are a few enteries for 53 - is this the one you are trying to setup with Add Account ?
Can you add the Account ... or not even getting that far ?
Also - you should be able to download a QFX file from the 53 website - called Web-Connect
just curious, does the CC show that download feature ?53292 53292 53292 Fifth Third Bank https://www.53.com/content/fifth-third/en/login.html 1-800-972-3030 https://www.53.com/content/fifth-third/en/login.html ACTIVE

Yes, I can see the credit card when I log into my 5/3rd account through their website. I can download the QFX file, but it doesn't give me the option accept the transactions into Quicken register. It just loads them. If I've manually entered the transaction, it creates duplicate entries. I'm not new to Quicken. I've added accounts in the past without any problems. I use Web-Connect for all of my other accounts, no problem. Web-Connect does not see this account. That is the problem. Like I said, the bank blames Quicken and Quicken blames the bank. Neither one is making any attempt to fix the problem.0

It's the financial institution, and the financial institution alone, that decides WHAT products are eligible for download into Quicken.Quicken has NO SAY in the matter, as long as the financial institution is a "Participating Financial Institution" (which 5/3 is).5/3 is BSing you when they say that it's Q's fault. They probably don't want to pay the fees to Q/Intuit to add this additional download channel ... and they're trying to blame Q for their own decision.
