Can I move an account from one Quicken file to a different Quicken file?

    Yes.  Use the QIF file export / import on the File menu.  Be sure to make Quicken Backups of both files before starting in case you don't like the end results.

    You can certainly use a QIF export/import to copy an account to another data file.  And just as certain if that account has transfers to other accounts, it will most likely be messed up.
