Is it possible to have the date of an entered bill float beyond today's date, until it clears?

Well, poop. I wrote some nice long reply and for some reason (maybe I used quotes or something) it got lost...
Let me just say thanks to you all who tried to help, but email conversations are terrible for discussing details, and they just become too confusing. So, I'm not going to pursue this any longer.
Thanks again.-1

Do you mean have transactions that haven't cleared yet appear near the bottom even though their dates are older?
The register is sorted. Normally by date, and as such the transactions are in that order. You can sort by other columns like the Clr column and that will put them in the order of Reconciled, Cleared, and then Uncleared. But note that the running balance will be meaningless with the register sorted this way.Signature:

Thanks, but I merely want to move my items up or down in my register to align them with their occurrence in my bank statement. The date may be the same for all transactions, and the amount is irrelevant. My proposal to select an item and move it up or down is what I'm looking for. Do you have a way to do this?0

Just change the date on the transaction to match when it hit your bank statement? How are you entering the transactions? There is another way you can sort which might get you closer. You can sort by Order Entered, which is handy when doing a lot of entries. While in a register, click on "Account Actions", select "Sorting Options", select "by order entered".
I'm staying on Quicken 2013 Premier for Windows.

It conflicts with the fact that any time a person can change the sort order of their transactions.

Thanks to everyone trying to help. I have two threads going and my reply below was a mistake in this thread - my apologies.
I'm going to forget about my request because, as I've learned in the past - email conversations are too easily confused when dealing with details. I'll do as everyone has to do with a tool that has limitations - I'll just work with what it has and accept it.
Honestly though, thank you all for trying to help!0 -
