If you could.....
As we start moving into fall and 'back to school' season, we wondered, if you could give a piece of advice to your younger self, what would it be?
Myself, I wish that I could have told myself how credit works and to start building it responsibly earlier.
What about you?

I would tell myself not to take life so seriously and have more fun.

My dad and I were very close and therefore we pretty much knew what the other one was thinking and feeling, so in some cases I didn't voice what I was thinking just assuming that he knew. I think I would voice those things to make sure.

You sure got that right. In 1984 I changed jobs and had a profit-sharing plan of $35k which I moved into an IRA with Piper Jaffray investment councilors. Since my background was in Information Technology I wanted to put 50% of my funds into Microsoft stock because I though they had a good thing going. PJ adamantly opposed that and insisted on diversification.NotACPA said:Buy Microsoft stockBuy Apple stockBuy Berkshire Hathaway stock

Anja, there is lots of wisdom in that. While it may be really uncomfortable where we are at any point, I firmly believe that there is always a reason which we often don't understand until later.Quicken Anja said:"You are exactly where you need to be. Be patient, and stop rushing."Ó¿Õ¬

Well, sometimes it pays to sweat the small stuff before is gets bigger. I guess wisdom is knowing the difference.Frankx said:I would tell my younger self - "Don't sweat the small stuff"Ó¿Õ¬

Live for today! You can't "fix" yesterday and there is no sense in worrying about tomorrow.1
