Activation Code [Edited]

My Quicken subscription expired, I did not download the new version because I got it cheaper when purchased with turbo tax from a local office supply store. When I install the new version, the program will not let me enter the activation code and use Quicken. I had to download a patch to get the program to work again.
Now that Quicken works again, can I enter the activation code then install the new version and get everything working again?

You may certainly try: select Help > Enter Activation Code...
I suspect the activation code is restricted to new subscribers. If so, you may need to create a new Quicken ID to use it. To associate the Quicken file with the new Quicken ID:- Select Edit > Preferences...
- Select Quicken ID & Cloud Accounts
- Select Sign in as a different user
- Enter yes
- Select Sign Out
- Sign in with the new Quicken ID

it merely updates the Quicken subscription & expiration Date...
