Activation Code [Edited]

Options
My Quicken subscription expired, I did not download the new version because I got it cheaper when purchased with turbo tax from a local office supply store. When I install the new version, the program will not let me enter the activation code and use Quicken. I had to download a patch to get the program to work again.

Now that Quicken works again, can I enter the activation code then install the new version and get everything working again?

You may certainly try: select Help > Enter Activation Code...

I suspect the activation code is restricted to new subscribers.  If so, you may need to create a new Quicken ID to use it.  To associate the Quicken file with the new Quicken ID:
    1. Select Edit > Preferences...
    2. Select Quicken ID & Cloud Accounts
    3. Select Sign in as a different user
    4. Enter yes
    5. Select Sign Out
    6. Sign in with the new Quicken ID

If you purchased a combo TTax and Quicken bundle -
is there anywhere on the Quicken packaging that indicates FOR NEW QUICKEN USERS
The Activation Code can really be entered with any recent installed version -
it merely updates the Quicken subscription & expiration Date...
