How can I interrupt "One Step Update Progress"

There seems to be no way of knowing if downloads are really in progress or if the update has become unresponsive. Is there a way to interrupt the process and return to Quicken? The only way I have found to do this is to go to Task Manager, stop Quicken altogether and then restart it.
