I am new to Quicken, I want to control when I download my own data from my bank.

How do I manually set up my quicken so that I can update quicken from my bank

    Normally the bank data is updated when you run a One Step Update. There is a setting to control whether it updates automatically when you start Quicken. This is controlled by the setting at Edit > Preferences > Startup > Startup actions.

    If you want to update just one account, you can go to that account, click on the gear at the top right, and select Update transactions.

    Will quicken allow me to download my data into my software. Not loaded on their servers and password not saved to their either.
