7/21 Update data only goes back to 5/21

When updating the current version of Quicken 6.6.2 there is a gap in data from 7/9/20 to 5/17/22. When opening a previous backup from 5/17/20 or earlier I can get to the missing info but cannot figure out how to add the info to my current version. Doing my taxes and have to keep closing one file and re-opening another and then manually adding the two for every tax item. Really annoying and time-consuming. Is there any way to merge the two files.

Hello @ardrive,
Thank you for contacting the Quicken Community with this question, I truly understand how that could be frustrating.
I suggest downloading a QFX file from your bank for the missing dates and then importing it into Quicken. Below is a link to a Support Article that you may find to be useful in regards to importing data into Quicken.

I hope you find this to be of use.
Please let us know how it goes.-Quicken Jasmine
