I saw that this issue was closed today (4/12/22) BUT the issue is not resolved - I still can't add my account - keep getting error cc-503 "Did you mistype your login?"

Fisrt login is https://www.freedommortgage.com/
then click "login" and get to https://myaccount.freedommortgage.com/mtg/loan/fhmc/site2/HomepageV2/login
then enter credentials and get to https://myloan.freedommortgage.com/LoanService/accounts/accountDetail/0

I use the same creditals that work on the freedommortgage website to add account in quicken and get error cc-503

    Hello @Paresh Buch,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community to express your concerns, though we apologize for any inconvenience caused by this issue.

We have received more information that brings clarity to this issue and have re-updated the Alert posted here in the Community. Unfortunately, Freedom Mortgage has deployed a new type of MFA that does not support 3rd-party aggregation (such as Quicken) which is what's causing this issue.

We advise reaching out to Freedom Mortgage for more information.

    Thank you!

Just my 2cents' worth ... Until Freedom Mortgage decides to once again support 3rd party downloading, I recommend that you do not attempt to activate the loan or mortgage account for downloading. Set it up as an "offline" loan account instead.  (Not discussing LOC or HELOC accounts here which should be treated like credit card accounts)

At least in Quicken for Windows, an online-connected loan or mortgage account does NOT have a transaction register. All data shown in the account come from whatever information the bank downloads to you ... if this process works at all.

As a result of being connected, the scheduled payment transaction reminder cannot transfer the amount of principal paid into the (non existent) account register and must use a category, usually something like Loan:Principal, instead. The category seems to vary with the Loan Type you selected when creating the loan account in Quicken.

    Effective with Quicken Windows 2018+
you can deactivate an online-connected loan account and regain full control over your transaction register.  However, you should still review the Scheduled Reminder (or Memorized Payee List entry) associated with the monthly loan payments to ensure they now transfer Principal to the loan account register and not to a Category.

If you're a Q Mac user, you should be able to do something similar about setting up and maintaining an offline mortgage account together with a correctly calculated Scheduled Transaction Reminder for the monthly payments from your checking account.
