Only by downloading the transactions then import it?

    Before I can further assist you, I require some more information. What version of Quicken are you running? You can see this by navigating to Quicken > About Quicken. What instance are you trying to connect with on the Financial List (Royal Bank of Canada-RBC Direct, etc.)? What occurs when trying to add this account?
