CIBC manual update

I updated two accounts from CIBC this morning. Result was that a lot of data lost from my file. In many items NA replaced the memo field and sometimes the payee field. I was able to restore from a backup file but a little nervous about updating.

    Hello @paullantz,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community and telling us about your issue, though I apologize that you are experiencing this.

To start with, I suggest that you please try validating the restored file before attempting to run a One Step Update. However, I do recommend that you first also save a backup file prior to performing these steps.

    Validate
    1. File
    2. Validate and Repair File...
    3. Validate File
    4. Click OK
    5. Close the Data Log
    6. Close Quicken (leave it closed for at least 5 secs)
    7. Reopen Quicken and try to run a One Step Update.

Let us know how it goes!

the backup file that I restored was fine, it was just the file in use when I did the update that was damaged. I don't use the one step update because of past problems. Repair log had a lot of entries "Quicken found an invalid transaction and removed it. "ACCT_1112e" 0/ 0/1900"
