Issues w/ secondary verification? (Q Mac)

Hi, my Quicken has suddenly started timing out after I submit a verification code from my bank while trying to sync. I put the code in, then Quicken just spins and spins until it eventually gives me a note that "Quicken cloud is not responding." Any help would be appreciated, because Quicken basically isn't working at all now.

Hello @CMYKyle,
Thank you for reaching out to the Community and telling us about your issue, though I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing this.
If you haven't already, I suggest you try signing out of your data file completely and then signing back in to refresh the registration token for your Online Connected Services. However, I recommend that you first save a backup file prior to performing these steps.- Navigate to Edit
- Preferences...
- Quicken ID & Cloud accounts
- Click Sign in as a different user (or it might say Sign in using a different Quicken ID)
- Follow the prompts to Sign Out
- Sign back in using your Quicken ID (email) and password
I hope this helps!-Quicken Anja

Thanks Anja. As I went into Quicken to try this, the app said updates were available, so I updated the software first to see if that fixed things. It didn't, so I did what you suggested. (FYI, my interface was different from what you suggested.)
I can't tell if it's working, though, because of another problem: For some reason, the app isn't triggering the verification process when I try to update the accounts. The little circular arrow that indicates it's updating spins a few times, then stops. But the verification process isn't happening, and the accounts aren't actually updating.
I've tried logging out and restarting, but it just keeps doing the same thing. This has happened before, and usually I have to wait like a day before trying to update the accounts again in order for the verification process to happen. It's super frustrating.0 -
More details, please.
- Is this "verification" in response to a Quicken ID and Password prompt?
- Or are you trying to run One Step Update and one or more of your banks or brokerages are requiring 2FA prompts? If so, which banks?
- Or are you trying to work with Online Bill Manager, to pay bills and work with Online Billers? If so, which billers?

• No. It's for updating my accounts. My bank (BOA) has two-step verification enabled, and it requires a code in order for Quicken to download transactions.
• I'm not sure what One Step Update is. I'm hitting the circle-arrow icon, which is the equivalent of "Update All Online Accounts."
