Why does one checking account show checks written as transfers?

Running a Spending report with itemized Tags show the Schwab checking account lists payments as Transfers and all the others show Payments. These are ordinary checks written from this Schwab checking account. It is configured as Type: Checking, the same as all the rest. Why would reporting be different?

ISTR other discussions about downloaded transactions incorrectly marked "Xfer" even though they weren't real transfers, but regular checks or other debits.
Can you check the download log file for a recent Schwab checking account download and see if the downloaded transactions contain a Transfer reference when they shouldn't?
If you need help with that, or, even better, you should call Quicken Support on the phone and request help.  Let them do a screen share session with you to review the situation on your computer, review the download log file(s), to determine the nature of the problem and to figure out how to fix it. This may need to be escalated to the appropriate support group for research and resolution.

    Quicken Support:

    • The phone number can be found at the support website.
    • If you are eligible for Premium Support (purchased separately or included as part of your subscription to Quicken 2018+ Premier or HB&R) call the number that can be found at the top of your My Account page at https://www.quicken.com/my-account  (US) or https://www.quicken.com/canada/my-account (Canada) when you log in with your Quicken ID. Place the call using the phone whose number is recorded in your account profile.
    • Other links or phone numbers found elsewhere on the Internet, even in some posts or emails received from other Community members, may not be from Quicken or may not be up-to-date. Use those at your own risk.
    • Unlike other so-called "Quicken support providers", the real Quicken Support is free for all currently supported versions.

You can close this discussion I started. I found Tag reports don't work right, so I can use Category reports instead.
