In Q Mac, can you search all fields like you could in Quicken Mac 2007?

Search seems to only look at columns, but what if the term you are looking for is inside of a split or in a memo or note? How can you search all fields for a particular word?

Yes, QMac will search the register for text that is inside of a split transaction, including in the Memo field. However, the results will list split transactions in collapsed state. You will need to expand each one individually to see where in the split the search text occurs. Also, search only looks in columns/fields that are visible in the register. You will need to make all columns you wish to search visible before performing the search.

If you wish to see split lines listed individually, running a transaction report will be more useful. However, you can only limit a transaction report to Payees, Tags and Categories in lieu of search. This won't help for any other fields such as Memo.

For that, please add your vote for Report based on keyword of Memo/Notes
