Changed Chase password, can no longer connect

I changed my Chase username and password at the site, then went to Quicken to update. After several attempts with the new login info, it would not connect. I deactivated online updates and tried to set up again. When I hit the "set up" buttons, the software only dims and freezes as if another box were trying to pop up. Nothing further happens. I have had to cntrl-alt-end program repeatedly to attempt other avenues, but am out of options.
I know Chase is making us jump through more hoops "at the end of Sept" but it should be working fine right now. Suggestions?

Have you deactivated ALL Chase accounts that were accessible under the old username, including any old, hidden, long forgotten accounts in your data file that may still be activated? When all accounts have been deactivated create a backup of your data file and close Quicken, wait 30 sec. or more and then restart Quicken.
Use the "+" Add Account icon in the Account Bar header to reactivate your accounts. When you get the list of accounts found at the bank, be sure to correctly "Link" the bank accounts to the matching Quicken account registers.2 -
That ...actually worked flawlessly, thank you!0

That's an interesting point I didn't think of, clearly changing your password triggered this:
