Projected balances

Whenever I add a reminder my projected balance goes crazy. For example, $1000 payment and my balance goes to - $70,000. It just started this about a month ago.

    Hello @dthomp

I am sorry to hear about this problem with projected balances. Thank you for speaking with us about this here on the Quicken Community.

To begin with, are you noticing the problem across multiple accounts, and accounts associated with more than one financial institution? Are the accounts in question credit card accounts? Also, where is your current active data file located? You can check this anytime by navigating to File > Show this file on my computer... in the upper menu at the top of the screen.

I look forward to your response.

    Thank you,

    Quicken Jared

Can you please capture one or more images of the parts of your Quicken window showing the issue, sensitive information blacked out as necessary to protect your privacy but annotated to describe the situation, and attach the image(s) here?

Please save images to files of file type PNG, JPG, or GIF only. They're easier to work with than PDF files.

Also please tell us more about this problem. Include the version and release of Quicken (R xx.xx)
