Chase migration - created a NEW Quicken Chase credit card account

I went through the new authentication process and when I updated in Quicken, Quicken created a new Chase credit card account right next to my original one! I want all my Chase credit card transactions to be in ONE ACCOUNT. I was careful about the account name I used, but still it created a new account. I restored from backup several times, trying different ways to outsmart this process, to no avail. I'd rather download my Chase transactions directly from the Chase website than have clones of my credit card account running side by side.
Anyone else have this experience? Did you find a way around it?

I would use this process to merge the missing transactions from the old account to the new one, and then delete the old account:

Note that if you have attachments they will not transfer using the above method. If that matters to you the other way to do this is to use multiple select and the menu item to change all the reconcile statuses to C instead of R, then use “Move Transactions” instead of “Copy Transactions”, and then change all the reconcile statuses back.
The reason this is needed is because they have never fixed the bug in Move Transactions that prompts for every single transaction when the reconcile status is R.Signature:

Thanks for the reply. From the link you directed to me to:If you instead selected Cut or Move Transaction(s) and the transactions you selected contain Reconciled transactions or online payment transactions, you will see a prompt for each Reconciled transaction and online payment transaction asking you to confirm the move. If you select the Copy Transaction(s) option, you will not see these prompts.
You should be aware that combining transactions from two account registers may result in duplicated transactions. Careful selection of the transactions to move along with review and correction of the account register post transaction move is needed. My Chase credit card account in Quicken goes back to 2006. There are almost 18,000 transactions. I'm supposed to do all this moving manually? Then go back and check for duplicates? No way is that going off without a hitch. Can't I just choose not to download my Chase credit card automatically and instead go to the Chase website and download manually like I used to do back in the day?

You would just deactivate the account for download and then go to the Chase web site to download/import the QFX file. Quicken should ask you which account it is for (just the first time) and then import the transactions.
Bring up the account on Chase's website and select here:
And on the next page be sure to select Web Connect:

Yeah, that's what I'll keep doing. Thanks.

I have the exact same problem. I’d also like to know what I have to to end up with one Chase CC in Quicken.0

I've updated my credit card account multiple times and I'm never prompted to migrate. Nothing changes.0

After I allowed this re-creation of my Chase account, and transferred all the transactions, now it posts payments as additions to credit card balance and charges as decreases to balance. It is treating the account like you would a credit account not credit card account. It did not work this way before. I cannot see how to change it0

@recat That is incredibly aggravating! I hope you backed up before you did that, so you can restore the backup and restore your sanity. That's why I've decided to stop updating my Chase credit card from within Quicken. I have de-activated that download, and now I just update my bank accounts from Quicken, then go to the Chase website and download from there (like we did in the Old Days). Yeah, an extra step and also aggravating, but with Quicken you have to choose which of its many aggravations you can live with.
