Is there a procedure to turn off ONLY the cloud?
I use Windows 8.1 with Quicken Starter version R43.32 Build 27.1.43.32.
The schematics used in the help files are different than what I see on my screen. I simply want to delete all the cloud files and then turn off the connection to the cloud. Presently I can only delete attached files to an entry in the ledger.
If you quote from the help files directly it won't help. Half of the commands I'm suppose to see on my computer never appears. According to the update status, I'm as up-to-date as I can be.

I should note that I have turned off the SYNC function and it still uploads to the cloud.0

Your data does not upload to the Quicken Cloud. The Cloud Sync function is to allow you to access your data file on multiple devices. You can follow this link for more information regarding the Quicken Cloud and its functions.
