Sounds are too loud

Recently, perhaps after an update, the sounds have become much louder. I usually listen to the radio on my computer when using quicken, but, now, when I have the radio volume at a comfortable level the Quicken sounds are annoyingly loud. Is there a way to lower the Quicken sound volume? If not, perhaps this could be added or sound level reduced in next update.

I am sorry about this problem with odd sound levels. Thank you for looking to the Quicken Community for assistance. 

Have you tried restarting your computer after this happens? You may additionally try uninstalling the Quicken software using the steps listed in this Support Article, then deleting Quicken from the Program Files (x86) folder. You may then reinstall the software after following those steps using the steps listed here.

Have you taken a look at the Volume Mixer controls in Windows? Right-click the speaker icon in the Windows Taskbar, select Volume Mixer and "play" with the settings.

I see that there appear to be features related to sound effects that you would like to see included in the software. Thank you for bringing this up here on the Quicken Community.

I want to draw your attention to the process of submitting Idea posts. You can create an Idea post using the instructions provided in this link, here. Essentially, users are able to suggest a feature that they would like to see implemented in the software, and it is then voted on by the members of the Quicken Community. If the proposal is popular enough, it is then handed off to the development team for consideration.

When you open your volume settings or the Volume Mixer, what is the setting for System Sounds in relation to Speaker volume?

If Quicken does not have its own Volume Mixer entry, try setting System Sounds to a level below Speaker volume.

This setting seems to keep my Quicken sounds at an acceptable level.

For what it is worth here is how it looks in Windows 11's settings.
Open Settings and type Mixer.
