quicken data disappeared

qdf file on my machine is over two years old. Where did the current data go? Is it possible to open a formal problem record with Quicken Support without waiting on hold for hours?

what do you mean by the 'current data'? do you mean the entire '*.QDF file???? there should also be backups on your harddrive (assuming you turned on the automated back up component)
Did you try doing a search of the file on your harddrive? do you have your harddrive backed up anyhere?
do a search on *.qdf

the only .qdf and/or backup files that I find on my harddrive have data that is over 2 years old.0

@auldthymer - do you have a backup of your harddrive stored somewhere. would be very highly unlikely that Q would destroy the most recent two years of data with the rest remaining. What are the modify dates on these backup files - that may provide a clue..... and all the backup files are also missing the past two years - that is simply strange,0

Thank you. The data is lost in 'the cloud'. Quicken Support has not responded. Time to cancel subscription and do a bunch of manual data reentry in a different product.0

May I ask where on your system your Quicken data files were located before they vanished or were deleted?Please respond with the complete path name, e.g., C:\Users\your_username\Documents\QuickenAnd the one file which you could find, was the transaction register properly sorted by Date in ascending order and were you looking at the bottom of the register, where the newest transactions are supposed to be?0
