Running Windows Quicken R44.28, Build 27.1.44.28 in Windows 11

After following 'Add Account' workflow, no account is added

Steps to repro:

- Choose name of bank
- Provide username and login for bank
- Error 'we encountered an error (It's not your fault). ... The user has entered an invalid ID or password.'
- Choose "I'll visit my financial institution web site and download transactions myself", click 'Next'
- Dropped into Account Added dialog, with message "Now you're ready to download your account data..."
- Click "Finish"
- Observe that no account has been added

wtf?!

Good question. Looks to me like the Add Account process is being derailed by the connection error and therefore doesn't even create a "manual" (unconnected) account register.
We'd have to figure out why you're getting the "not your fault" error (aka error code CC-501) ... and that's a job for Quicken Support to look into.
It might also be helpful if you told us the name of your bank ... we might have a Community Alert pending for this bank.

If you haven't done so already, I'd say it's time to call Quicken Support on the phone and request help.  Let them do a screen share session with you to review the situation on your computer, to determine the nature of the problem and to figure out how to fix it.
