Balance Reflects Pending Transactions; Register Does Not

I know there has been a lot of discussion about Pending Transactions and the feature has been turned off. I am not seeing any pending transactions in my register when I download, which is fine and expected.

My problem is that the downloaded balance does reflect the pending transactions. I have to go online to my bank's site and manually enter the pending transactions into Quicken if I want to reconcile my downloaded balance.

Presumably, if it isn't downloading the pending transactions, it should also ignore them when calculating my current balance.

Is there a way I can fix this so that my downloaded balance does not reflect the pending transactions?

    For reference, I am using version R45.13 which is the most current, according to the update feature.

    What you're seeing is the fault of the Financial institution which sends the balance. Complain to them.

    Today for the first time a pending transaction downloaded from Chase EWC+. When I reconciled my account there was a balance difference equal to the amount of the pending transaction. I do not have an hour glass icon on my register. There is no option in preferences to turn this off. I added the pending transaction to my register, but this didn’t help so I deleted it. The preference “Automatically Add to Banking Register” is turned off. If there is no hour glass icon, how do I fix this so pending transactions do not download? Quicken Premier Version R45.21.

    @TexMike do you have Sync to Mobile/Web on?

    If so, that might explain it syncing in a pending transaction when it shouldn't.
