how to access/edit my customer database?

is my customer database on my computer and if so what is it's name/location. I want to edit / clean it up.

What are you referring to by "customer database?"
Your Quicken file is typically located in a "Quicken" folder under the "Documents" folder.

All of the information you see in Quicken is saved in a single QDF data file. If you want to clean up something regarding it you will need to open Quicken and do it from within Quicken.
You can easily find any/all Quicken data files you might have saved by opening Quicken and then going to
File > Find Quicken Files
. This can be very helpful if you have several different QDF files and want to delete some older ones or ones you no longer need to have.
