Adding attachments to registers

Whenever I attach a document out of my local computer, only one of my accounts in Quicken is not only uploading to my Quicken register, but also to the Cloud? I then need to manually request within Quicken to Delete from the Cloud and retain in my desktop only. I see no settings for this individual financial institution account? All of this occurs within Quicken Register. How can I turn this off? I have already confirmed sync is OFF in Mobile/Web Browser.

First off, when they added the new drag and drop feature for adding attachments to the register, they made it always send it to the Quicken Cloud and didn't provide an option to prevent this.  This even applies to accounts that are setup for Direct Connect.

Beyond that for the last couple of years now Express Web Connect/Express Web Connect + have used "sync" as a way of getting transactions downloaded into Quicken.  As such, for accounts that are setup with these connection types, a side effect that they have never changed is that the attachments also get synced to the Quicken Cloud dataset.

Thank you for the information, Chris. :) Then why is this only happening with register on one account within Quicken and not the others?

If Quicken is now strong arming how data is saved, I may be seriously thinking of moving to another platform.

What is the connection type of each the accounts?
If you are not using the drag and drop feature, but instead using the dialog to add the attachment, then it is going to depend on the connection type whether it will sync it to the Quicken cloud dataset or not.

Wow, it looks like you are spot on! Quicken representative did not even figure this out. Direct Connect accounts do not automatically sync to the cloud. It seems I cannot change all institutions to Direct Connect? I really appreciate your assistance, Chris!

(On Direct Connect) I'm afraid not, it all depends on what the financial institutions support, and more and more are going away from Direct Connect.

In truth I don't think this is Quicken Inc "strong arming", it is more like poor programming/taking the easy way out.
