Hello @bill20,
Thank you for reaching out to the Community about your issue, though I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing this.
Do you have a recent pre-update backup you can restore? To start with, I suggest restoring a backup file to see if the same issue occurs in the restored file. If needed, please, review this support article. Scroll down and open the blue dropdown section(s) titled Restore Quicken data and/or Restore an automatic backup for instructions on how to restore a backup.
Let us know how it goes!

I too am experiencing issues as a result up upgrading to release R47.7. This release has caused many issues.
- Overdue reminders that automatically change to a 1/1/2023 due dates and their original amounts. I have correct these reminders numerous times, however, intermittently, all of the transactions revert back again to the 1/1/2023 date and initial amounts. Sometimes they revert when saving a reminder. Sometimes they revert after a one-step update.
- While working in Quicken, I encounter numerous crashes during my working session. Some indicated that a dump file could not be created followed by Quicken closing. Sometimes when this happens and I reopen Quicken, the overdue reminders revert to the 1/1/2/2023 due date and their original amounts.
As Quicken is pretty much non-functional with R47.7, I am patiently awaiting for an update to correct these problems so that I can successfully update my January 2023 transactions and begin closing out the month and preparing for the new month.
I've yet to see an acknowledge any communication from Quicken acknowledging the issues with R47.7.0 -
1) Are you Syncing to Mobile/Web?
AND
2) do you actually use the Mobile app on your smartphone or the Quicken on the Web browser-based app?The Sync process has been suspected of a number of weird happenings with Quicken. Could your problem be caused by Sync?
If you answer "yes" to the 1st question and "no" to the 2nd question, turn Sync off completely. You don't need it. The Sync process should only be used in conjunction with the Quicken app for Smartphones or the Quicken on the Web browser app. It cannot be used as a replacement for backing up and restoring your Quicken data file.
If you answer "yes" to both questions, try to Reset Sync so that the current cloud sync file is replaced with a fresh complete copy
Do note that a full Sync process may take many minutes to complete. How to reset Sync to Cloud
- Log out of your mobile app, then do this on your desktop / laptop:
- Go to Edit / Preferences / Mobile and Web
- Click the "Reset your cloud data" link and follow the instructions until it is complete.
- Sync your desktop file to the cloud
- Now log back into your mobile app
How to turn off Sync to Cloud for the current data file
- Go to Edit / Preferences / Mobile and Web
- Change the Sync radio button and set it to OFF

No. I am not syncing to Mobile/Web or using the the Mobile application. When I have used them in the past, they have caused nothing but problems.
I have been using Quicken since 2009 (14 years) and have never encountered the types of issues encountered ofver the last two years with disappearing budgets and the current issues with the reminders.0
