Note "Quicken Subscription" is how you pay and doesn't imply "online". The Quicken Desktop data file is still on your computer. There are "online services" like downloading transactions and even two "companion" Apps (Mobile/Web) that you can sync some of your data to, but main Quicken Subscription isn't any more "online" than Quicken 2010 was.
And yes, Quicken Subscription can convert your data. But if you don't intend to keep the subscription up to date you might not like the results if you let the subscription expire. Starter edition goes read-only and Deluxe and above get an ad that takes up 20% for the main window.
Note that Quicken 2013 is the last version of Quicken that doesn't use the Quicken Id, which requires logging into a Quicken server account to install. There is a free version of Quicken 2013 Deluxe available.Signature:
