How to turn off auto update?

Updates happen many times a month. A popular trend like using customers for beta testing. I prefer not to be a guinea pig for hot off the press versions. Sometimes, I need to find out information and don't really want to wait for an upgrade. How do I turn off auto updating?

You enable Windows User Account Control.
That way Quicken will ask you each time it starts and finds an update is available, "Do you want to update?"

just to clarify - there is no way within the Quicken for Windows product....
though the Mac version does have that feature.
As mentioned above - you have to rely on Windows security to help stop ANY software updates from ANY programs.

UAC is enabled (app changes not setting changes) with no effect.
I was afraid of this. This subscription based, you do the beta testing, we own you, zero/no privacy default setting, etc. attitude of app companies is getting old. Quicken needs some competition.

I'll just block them from any online access and let them have access when I want.

    Thanks for the replies.

Is your UAC at the highest setting?  I haven't gotten an update that I did not ask for or approve for about a year.

-splasher using Q continuously since 1996
    - Subscription Quicken - Win11 and QW2013 - Win11
