I discovered this when I was trying to add CVX - Convex Finance to my symbols list as type "Other".

When I submitted it just disappeared, but didn't add the symbol.

Quicken only allows one instance of each security name.

Also the CVX symbol in usually for Chevron. The Symbol is used to identify securities for quote downloading, and should not normally include the security name.

Please explain exactly what you are trying to do.

CVX is the security symbol for Chevron.

You might try CVX-USD. No promises. I don't have crypto experience in Quicken.

The name of the Cryptocurrency IS different.

I'm trying to add it as Type:Other (which should allow any symbol even if it's already exists as a Type:Stock.
CVX as type Other is named: Convex Finance.

    This should be supported.

No 2 securities should EVER have the same symbol. In securities trading its the symbol, not the name, that identifies the security
