New Transaction Line Moves from Bottom of Register to Top

Recently, when I start Quicken Priemer the new transaction line is at the bottom of the registers, where it should be based on my sorting preference. After entering a transaction in a register, the new transaction line moves to the top of all registers. The sort order remains unchanged.

Quicken version is R49.33. Build 27.1.49.33

Are you sure that the register sort order really is set to Date in ascending order?
To verify, look at the register's column title line. Does the column header have a black triangle next to it, "▲" pointing up for ascending or "▼" pointing down for descending sort order. Or is the black triangle showing in one of the other column headers?

Can you please capture one or more images of the parts of your Quicken window (the register with the column headers) showing the issue, sensitive information blacked out as necessary to protect your privacy but annotated to describe the situation, and attach the image(s) here?
