Downloaded payee transac with "almost" same name, how to merge and prevent again

As you can see (Walmart for instance) down-loaded transactions showing multiple variations of information (contains payee, showing dates and other "gibberish") that causes me extra work in reassigning category(s). Any ideas how to handle & prevent?

    Thank you for reaching out to the Community and telling us about this issue.  I'm sorry to hear you're running into this problem. If you're wanting to cut out all or some of the extra information that comes into the Payee column from the financial institution, then you might want to consider using Renaming Rules. When setting up renaming rules, be careful not to make them too general, or otherwise, they might end up changing things you don't want them to. For instance, if you want all Wal-Mart transactions to show as Walmart, you could create one rule for that. If you want to differentiate, perhaps have one store show as Walmart and the other as Walmart Super Center, then you would need to set up 2 rules so it knows what to do with each payee.
