Schwab transaction downloads
I have four accounts at Schwab. Each is set to "Don't downlad to Quicken," when they all should be added to Quicken. How can I change this. I try to set up new accounts so I can set them to add to Quicken but I can't rename them because when I hit add account button, it takes me to the financial institutions page and it apparently goes back to original settings, not loading to Quicken. How can I change it?

Hello @wabuckeye,
Thank you for reaching out to the Community and telling us about this issue. I'm sorry to hear you're running into this problem. From what you're describing, it sounds like the issue is Quicken won't let you add the accounts because it thinks they're already connected. When you are on that Add/Link screen that shows Don't add to Quicken for those accounts, pay attention to the Nickname in Quicken that it shows. That Nickname in Quicken is the account in Quicken that it thinks they're connected to (see sample image below).
Once you know what Quicken thinks the accounts are connected to, you would want to backup your file, then deactivate those accounts.
Once you have deactivated the accounts Quicken thought they were connected to, go to Tools>Add Account, and follow the prompts to reconnect the accounts. Once you are back at the Add/Link screen in Quicken, check to make sure the accounts are linking to the correct accounts, or being added as new (whichever you are trying to do).
The Action column should let you click the dropdown to choose between Add as new, Link to Existing, or Don't add to Quicken.
I hope this helps!

I did everything you suggested but still have problem. I deactivated every account and even went to Schwab and deleted Quicken access. I then changed the nickname on every account matching them in Quicken as well as Schwab. I then added the accounts but got no option to change the linked account or change to "add to Quicken." Rather than identify them as new accounts, it automatically went back to the previous setup with the same problems. As it stands, I've quit using Quicken because of these issues. It's very time consuming to check each account individually. Is their any way to nuke the hole thing and start over? That's where I'm at now.

Thank you for your reply,
If you are wanting to start completely fresh, you can create a new Quicken file and add everything back in on the new file.
Alternatively, if it is only the Schwab accounts you are having trouble with and you don't need to keep the account history, you can backup your Quicken file, delete the Schwab accounts, then add the accounts to Quicken by going to Tools>Add Account, following the prompts, and making sure on the add/link screen that Quicken is showing Add to Quicken and not Link to Existing.
Another option is you can reach out to Quicken Support directly for further assistance as they can walk you through troubleshooting steps in real-time and escalate the situation as needed. The Quicken Support phone number can be found through this link here. Phone support is available from 5:00 am PT to 5:00 pm PT, Monday through Friday.
Thank you.
