Bill Reminders & Calendar View - color codes (edit)

I don't understand how the Bill reminder thing works. I put in a reminder, the bill is paid it shows in the register but the calendar view still shows red.. but if I click on it in the calendar view the item says in green "marked paid" why doesn't the calendar view change when the payment has occurred? Is there a good description or tutorial on how this reminder should work? Red Grey Green Yellow color schemes but not sure of the meaning specifics.
