    Hello @reggie1993,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community and telling us about this issue.  I'm sorry to hear you're running into this problem. When did the issue start happening?  Was there anything that happened just before the issue started, such as a power surge, power outage, update, unexpected program or computer shutdown, etc?  Do you keep your Quicken file on your C drive or is it on a shared network drive?  Is your Quicken file synced with any cloud service, such as One Drive or Dropbox (if it is, you will usually see the service name listed in the file location)?

The simplest way to check your file location, if you have Quicken up and the file open, is to click on File, then look near the bottom of the list, just above where it says Exit.  It will list the file locations for the 4 Quicken files you have most recently accessed, with the one you are currently in at the #1 spot.

    Thank you.

I have been having the same issues since 20 July. I think the problem started with the latest update 51.10. I reinstalled Quicken trying to get a version earlier than 51.10, but the install includes all updates whether I want them or not. My subscription renewed on the 25th but if this issue is not fixed, I will ask for a refund and cancel the subscription. I have been using Quicken for over 30 years and my file is 538 MB. Could the size of of my file be the issue and if so, how can I reduce it without starting over??

The size of the file is not the issue as mine has been more than twice that size without any performance latency or freezing. But, the integrity of the data file could be at issue. To troubleshoot the problem, the quickest procedure is to create a new test file and try to duplicate the errors you're experiencing with the new file. This will dictate whether the issue is with the data file or the program installation.

same problem, was trying to update from 2014 on new computer, to see if Quicken will stop turning off all of a sudden. For some reason, cannot update!
