While the subscription model may seem to be a more lucrative solution to the management at Quicken, they should consider that it annoys some "influencers" and they could easily find alternatives and then stop recommending the product to others who rely on their opinions for product purchases.

Stealing screen real estate is unacceptable. A pop up reminder at launch is appropriate. What you are doing now isn't. Knock it off or I will start a campaign to influence people to switch to another product.
