Schwab Transactions Not Downloading

    I am using %51.12 Build 27.1.51.12. The Schwab transaction will not download. Is this a Windows security issue or a Schwab to Quicken issue?

    I also am having update issues with Schwab. I checked my accounts at Schwab and there are new transactions. In Quicken One Step Update for Schwab is launched and the Update Summary shows "2 accounts updated, 0 new transactions". I then deactivated online services for both of the Schwab accounts. Online services for one of the accounts is setup. Quicken finds the accounts at Schwab and a screen appears for linking the downloads to the appropriate accounts. Quicken then downloads the transactions. This 'workaround' works once and then needs to be repeated whenever I need to download transactions for my Schwab accounts. Quicken for Windows, Home, Business & Rental Property, version 51.12, Windows 10.

    Hello @lkater and @marman,

    Thank you for reaching out to the Community and telling us about this issue.  I'm sorry to hear you're running into this problem. When did you first notice this issue? Which version of Quicken were you using when it started? Do you have multiple User IDs with Schwab that you track in your Quicken? Do you update all your financial institutions at once, or do you do it one at a time by going to the gear icon at the upper right of the register and selecting Update Now? Do you sync with the cloud when you run One Step Update? Do you get any error messages when you try to update with Schwab?

    @marman,

    You mentioned that you are deactivating and reconnecting the accounts, which temporarily corrects the issue. Is this troubleshooting you're doing on your own, or is there something in Quicken prompting you to take this action?

    Thank you.

    This has been happening for a couple of weeks. I used one step update to update Schwab and all my other accounts. There are transactions at Schwab that have not downloaded by using one step update or going into the account and doing individual updates. The update summary shows completed. It does not show that any transactions have downloaded for the Schwab accounts. How do I get Quicken to download the Schwab transactions again? This was working fine previously.

    Thank you for your reply @marman,

    The next time it refuses to download from Schwab, please try resetting your Schwab accounts rather than doing the deactivate/reactivate.

    Prior to doing the reset, please make sure to backup your Quicken file. Then, to reset the accounts, go to Tools>Account List, click the Edit button next to the problem account, go to the Online Services tab, click the Reset Account button, and follow the prompts (repeat process for each problem account).

    Thank you.

    @Quicken Kristina

    I'll give the reset a try before the next update is attempted. Thank you.

    I take that back. Tbills matured on 8/17 and 8/23. The information did not download after a reset. I ran a second update today and it did not download.

    Is anyone checking into this? I reset one of my Scwab accounts this AM and the transactions are still not downloading. Please help!

    @Quicken Kristina

    Just now updated my Schwab accounts. I took no actions on this account since the last deactivate/setup. The transactions downloaded. Strange that the one step update worked this time, but I'm glad. Thank you.

    Performed One Step Update on my Schwab accounts this morning and the summary stated - "2 accounts updated, 4 new transactions".  No transactions showed up in the register to post. I then reset the account and the summary then stated "2 accounts updated, 4 new transactions". 2 transactions showed up in the register to post. The Schwab account actually had 2 new transactions.

    Thank you for your reply,

    Is it still insisting there are 4 new transactions, or did reviewing the 2 that downloaded clear that message? It did say 2 accounts updated; were the other 2 transactions downloaded to the other account that got updated? Are you missing any transactions, or has everything which has posted to your account successfully downloaded into Quicken?

    Thank you.

    @Quicken Kristina.

    Yes, it still insisted there were 4 new transactions when there were only 2. There were no transactions to the other account. There are no missing transactions and Quicken is in sync with Schwab.

    Thank you.

    Thank you for your reply,

    If you would like to troubleshoot the issue with it claiming there are 4 new transactions, I would recommend that you backup your Quicken file, then follow the steps in this article on what to do when Quicken says there are new transactions, but you don't see any.

    Thank you.
