Quicken Update never completes

I am on Quicken Deluxe for Windows 10 desktop version R51.12, build 27.1.51.12.

When I start, I am notified there is an Update available. I accept, but everytime the update stalls at the "Optimizing and executing files". I have tried repeatedly and the update never finishes.

Quicken seems to run normally after that. What should I do?

    Thank you for reaching out to the Community and telling us about your issue, though I apologize that you are experiencing this.

    If you haven't already, I suggest you try manually downloading and installing the latest version release through the Manual Patch found in this support article and see if it will successfully install that way instead.
