I hav, macOS 13.5.1

In July 2023 I somehow managed to cause all Check downloaded transactions from my bank say they are all from the same Payee. Can someone please tell me how to fix this?

Thank you for your time.

    Hello @MZK,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community and telling us about this issue.  I'm sorry to hear you're running into this problem. From what you're describing, it sounds like you may have created a renaming rule that is changing the Payee in those transactions. If that is what is happening, then to correct the individual transactions, you will need to right click on the transaction and select Revert to Downloaded Payee Name from the menu.

Once you have corrected the transactions, to prevent this from happening with future downloaded transactions, you'll need to find and delete or edit the Renaming Rule. In your Quicken, go to Window>Payees and Rules.

    Select the Renaming Rules tab.

Once you find the rule that is causing the issue, click on it to select it. Then, if you want to delete the rule, click the - sign symbol. If you instead want to edit it, click the pencil icon and edit the criteria so that it is changing only the transactions you want it to change.

    Thank you.

Kristina! Besides being 'Johnny-on-the-spot'; you also provided screen shots. I've never had it so nice fixing a problem I've caused. It's all fixed now, and I'm smiling; not just because it's fixed, but because now I know there are others out there who really want to help, and are willing to spend time doing it. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
