Transfer showing as expenditure
I made a transfer from my checking account to a cash account and it insists on showing up as an expenditure which is of course messing up all my reports etc. I clearly used the transfer category and it shows as a transfer but I can't figure out how to change this.
Any help appreciated!

You can customize a report and exclude transfers.
I'm staying on Quicken 2013 Premier for Windows.

That works except when I want to show other transfers in the same report. Also, it continues to show a large expense in the chart on the home page.

In the Register- does it show as the normal [bracket account name] of each of the other accounts …

Yes it does. Shows transfer in the register and the recipient in brackets. All of my other transfers work well. I wonder if it's because it's from a checking account I don't remember actually making a transfer from it before.

Can you please capture one or more images of the parts of your Quicken window
showing the issue, sensitive information blacked out as necessary to protect
your privacy but annotated to describe the situation, and attach the image(s)
here?

This shows what the expenditures from the transfer does to my charts. Aug shows the excess expenditures.

Got it! I hate it when I find it's my own fault. I had neglected to add the new account I was transferring the money to in income/expenditures report category. Once I did that everything was fine.
Thanks to those who tried to help!
