Can I Schedule a Reoccurring Bill Reminder That Only Occurs For Certain Months?
Dear Sir or Madam,
Is it possible in Quicken Classic to schedule a reoccurring bill reminder that only occurs for certain months each year? I realize I can set up multiple reminders to accomplish this, but I was curious if there was a way to do this only once for specific months? Perhaps in a future release, individual months can be selected from a dropdown box like in the screenshot. Thanks in advance.

Simple answer, no. The selection has to be a uniform repeating pattern.

Can you give us an example of this particular situation, please? What are the months where payment comes due?
There are special situations available already, for paying property taxes on two selected months in a year or for paying estimated federal taxes.There also is another (rather lengthy) discussion available already where additional reminder frequencies are being discussed. Thank you both for responding. Here is some additional information regarding my question. I would like to be able to create a single reoccurring reminder for the same amount, but the frequency may only occur from March until September. Like I mentioned, I know a work around is to just create a new bill reminder each year, but this feature seems like something that would already be available. You may be right that this topic may be broached in another/similar topic, but I didn't find it when I searched. Thanks again for responding.

kinda sounds like a seasonal payment - like lawn care … with a start & stop date and then how often within that window

Another workaround: if your transaction will occur 7 times, set up the reminder for 8 times. Then it won't vanish after the 7th and last transaction and you can edit it for the following year and not have to re-create it. Woot, that should save you one minute of work per year!

Thanks, Rocket J Squirrel. I appreciate your workaround. Hopefully, Quicken will add this seemingly useful feature in a future weekly update. Conversely, I seem to remember that Microsoft Money had this feature 20 years ago. Just saying.
