Account shows flag that I have 9 transactions to review but there are zero and I cannot clear this -

This is using Quicken Classic Deluxe. One Bank account (checking - Santander) used daily has shown a flag that I have open tasks and the flag says I have 9 transactions to review. When I review transactions there are zero. I have downloaded new transactions and cannot get the flag to stop showing. I cannot reset the account as the error message is that I have open transactions to review first. How can I clear that.

Also this same account just this week has not downloaded transactions normally. I got no transactions through Quicken. I had to manually download from the Santander site.

If this Account is set up to automatically download transactions into the register (not "held" in the Downloaded Transaction box below the register) that might be the problem here as this behavior has been noted before. If that's the case turn off that automatic posting feature, restart Quicken, and see if that fixes things.

Thanks for the response Tom. I have the transactions set to be held in the downloaded transaction box so that isn't the issue. My transaction box shows as Downloaded Transactions (0) but still have the flag about needing to review transactions.

Are you talking about the "To Do" list like this?

That is not something that most long-time users use, and I don't have much confidence in it given accurate information.

Normally after doing a One Step Update, I get Red Flags next to each account that have a new transaction. Those flags normally go away when I review and accept the Downloaded Transactions. But for this account, the red flag is there as shown below and the picture below that is the downloaded transactions which is Zero. The account thinks something needs to be updated and is stuck in review transactions mode but there isn't anything there.

Occasionally after a OSU, I will also see the red flag on the account, but nothing in the Downloaded Transactions area. If I restart Quicken, the missing transactions show up.

This might be the time to call Official Quicken Support to see if they can help. They can screen share and watch what's going on.

Have you checked "Preferences?" Updates sometimes make weird adjustments to a user's setup and I do seem to remember someone finding out that an update changed their "Automatically add" settings in Preferences.
