American Express Checking MFA

I have an American Express card and a personal loan from American Express. I recently added a checking account. I can connect to the checking account by using institution "American Express Banking", but it asks me for SMS code every time I do a one-step update.

Is this something that can be fixed? None of the other accounts ask? Just the checking account.

    Hello @mkemen30,

    You might need to call/navigate to the American Express Website and enable third-party access (or something to that extent). One common cause of repeated 2FAs is that there is never an actual connection settled with the bank's servers causing every download to trigger as if it were a new account. If you choose to call, I suggest requesting to speak to a tier 2 agent or a supervisor as they are generally more familiar with Quicken.
