Edward Jones not downloading with Quicken for Mac 7.3.2
After a couple of months of Edward Jones saying it was a Quicken problem and then Quicken saying it was an Edward Jones problem, we got both Quicken and Edward Jones on the same support call.
We are using Quicken for Mac 7.3.2. Originally we were getting an "OFX-2005" error in September 2023. Now, in late November 2023 we are getting an "Incorrect "Customer ID or Password/PIN, Edward Jones did not accept your login" error.
Edward Jones had us reset our password without using ANY special characters, a previous problem. Not having special characters didn't thrill us, but we verified EJ can take a 32-48 character password and they can. BTW, Edward Jones tech support cannot see failed login attempts, but can see if your account is locked due to repeated bad login attempts.
When Quicken joined the call, we gave them our previous trouble ticket number. We also tried another download from EJ, which failed. Quicken can't see failed login attempts either. After a few failed attempts Quicken said they had an ongoing issue with downloads, not only with EJ, but many other organizations.
So, what did we get out of this? The same problem we had in September is still happening. Its a Quicken problem. There is no projected resolution date. Try doing a download every couple of days.

How many characters is your current password? Quicken only allows a 32-character limit for passwords.
