How do I post a credit to my credit card account that the credit card company issued back to me toward my balance?
Please describe what caused the credit. Did you return something after the end date for billing?
it was a promotional deal on my credit card. If I used the card to make a purchase with certain dates I would receive a credit 2 months later, which is what I did.
I created an income category "Credit Card Rewards" for such and enter it as a payment. I use the same category for cash back rewards.
This is exactly what I do for my cash back rewards card.
Same here - I created a Quicken Category for Credit Card Rewards - and just use that on the actual credit card transaction
