check printing issue
I now use Quicken Classic Starter Edition on Windows 10 for a laptop. I am wondering if anybody else is having the same issue that I am.
When I go to tools, write and print checks and then enter my info on the screen, everything looks as it should. However when the check actually prints, the line where the dollar amount is spelled out and followed by asterisks, the asterisks don't go all the way out to the end of the line. I had the same issue with another version of Quicken that I previously used (can't remember which one it was though) and thought that maybe there was a glitch somehow. So I bought this version instead thinking it would take care of it. It didn't. It still does the same thing. I literally have to go on the check and draw a line to the end and I hate that. To me the check just looks incomplete.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. And it might be a situation where that is how it is supposed to be.

Why does this matter? How much gap is there after the asterisks that DO print.
And, this could be an issue with your printer (what's the make and model) rather than Q.

According to an old, archived discussion, (not available to viewing by regular users), the printing of asterisks in the amount in words line was changed in or about the year 2009.
There don't seem to be too many discussions posted on this subject over the years, but if you would like Quicken to change it, feel free to start a new Idea - type discussion, describe your needs and see how that goes. For additional information about idea posts please read
