Display size is a continuing problem

This problem has existed for some years, but doesn't seem to get any focus. In order to see all of the display in Quicken, I have to set my Windows display size down to 100%. This means that every other app appears tiny. In Quicken, with my usual display size of 150%, the menu bar is squeezed, I can't make changes to the account display side bar, and the budgeting function is useless because the detail all gets squished (technical term). When I do set it down to 100%, the Quicken display itself is tiny enough to make it a hassle to use. Every other app I have is able to adapt to display sizes that are different, but not Quicken. I'm not sure why this is so difficult, but it does really impact my use of the product. I'm on Quicken Premier for Windows, version R53.16 and using Windows 10 Pro.

    Hello @Mary Ann Edson-Plumb,

If you haven't already, I recommend you try overriding the scaling for Quicken by following the steps below. Please, make sure Quicken is not open and running while performing these steps.

    1. Right-click the Quicken icon on your desktop and select Open file location.
    2. Right-click the qw.exe file and select Properties.
    3. Select the Compatibility tab.
    4. Click Change high DPI settings.
    5. Check the box for Override high DPI scaling behavior and set the Scaling performed by to Application.
    6. Click OK.

You can also try changing other settings in the Compatibility tab:

Before attempting these steps, be sure to make note of the settings you currently have selected.

While in the Compatibility tab mentioned in the steps above, try unchecking all the boxes. If this doesn't resolve the issue, click the Change high DPI settings button and uncheck the boxes on that screen.

Let us know how it goes!

Hi @Quicken Anja, After I click on Change high DPI settings, the Override high DPI scaling behavior is greyed out. This is true even if I uncheck the box Program DPI. In the Compatibility tab, all boxes are already unchecked. Is there another way?

    Thanks,

    Mary Ann

I am also having this problem, and like Mary Ann when I follow the directions suggested, the option to Override High DPI scaling is greyed out. I had this problem a few years ago which is largely why I stopped using Quicken. I was hoping by now this would be fixed.

@Quicken Anja I haven't had any further response from you and, as you can see, others have this problem as well. Could we please get an update?
