I was just looking for a bank register and purchased basic Quicken. I was told when it ended in a year I could still use it as a register. That did not happen, I was totaly shut out.

That means that you let your subscription expire. It has nothing to do with the specific product.

For higher level Q products, you CAN continue to use the register (with about 1/3 of your screen taken up with a nag message to re-subscribe).

It's only Q Starter Edition (as Basic is now known) that completely shuts you out.

Your options are to re-subscribe to Starter (for 1 year), or to buy Deluxe, the next higher level product.

I had an older version on my previous computer and want to install it on my new computer - can I use the PN number on my first disk to get it installed?

@akaltenbach That seems unlikely, but it might be possible depending on the specifics, so more information is needed. Are you on Mac or Windows? What version of operating system? Are you trying to re-install from a CD, or do you have it on an older hard disk? What version of Quicken is on the disc/disk?
