Thank you for sending the snapshot of the box. I have seen that in all the directions. When my backup box appears, only the top 2 options show and I cannot scroll down nor enlarge the box to see more options. I download every update Quicken offers and have stayed current with my subscription so I cannot explain this otherwise.

What version/year? In my Quicken 2013 it doesn't show up under Backup but under File-File Operations.

I'm staying on Quicken 2013 Premier for Windows.

Do you see the Cancel and Next buttons?

If not, this might be some kind of windows scaling problem and you aren't seeing the whole dialog.

A screenshot of your would help.

Thanks for the tip on scaling. I tried all the options in Intel Graphics and none changed how it appeared. Here is a screen shot.

You need to reduce the Scale in Display Settings.

I cannot reduce the scaling any lower than 100% and everything higher makes the backup box look bigger but does not change what it is inside it. The advanced scaling option in Windows 10 does not recommend custom scaling because it may be hard to get back to original settings. For this one item, I do not want to change my entire system. I can live with this. Thanks for the assistance and ideas.

I'm not exactly sure what is doing this. On my Windows 11 machine I tried with and without Use Large fonts, and everything from 100% to 200% Windows scaling.

See if anything in the comment helps:

Here is a way around this without messing around with the scaling settings, using the keyboard versus a mouse.

    Do File→Copy or Backup file

On the next screen (the one you provided the screenshot of) do the following:

    • Press the Tab key once (the first paragraph should be surrounded by a dashed line)
    • Press the Tab key two more times (you won't be able to see it, but the dashed box moved to the third paragraph in the image that I showed above)
    • Press the Space bar once (the "Create a year-end archive" circle will now be the one selected)
    • Press the Next button (lower right corner)

This sequence should bring up the Year-end-copy window.

Splasher: I am not sure what is causing this either but YOU FOUND A WAY TO ACCESS IT. Your solution worked perfectly. My Quicken file spans 20 years and I have been thinking about this option since I do not download anything but want to move aside many old transactions. You have given me the ability to at least try it. Many thanks - you must have an analytical mind. Happy Holidays!
